Kiwanis Club of Victoria Christmas Luncheon 2013

Today's sold out Luncheon was a rousing success, at least in my opinion.  28 Members, aged 22 to 95 and their guests came together to share in the Spirit of Christmas, friendship and to raise some money ($1400) at the same time. I was so pleased that my dad, David Poje, was able to join me (and on his anniversary too).  We even had guests all the way from Port Angeles - thank you so much for coming.

For the first time the luncheon was held in Kiwanis Village's Constance Gibson Room and it seemed to work very well (the new floor is awesome).  A big thank you goes out to 1550's Restaurant for catering, their Turkey lunch was fantastic. They even had enough for leftovers, not that I actually had any room.

David and Keith did an amazing job of running the draws and Nathan was an awesome prize runner.   Louis Fortier's guest Mme. Robillard won a large number of the items, leading to jokes that she might need a dump truck in order to get all her prizes home.  My $20 investment was well rewarded as well.

Merry Christmas Everyone - Cheers Carla

The Kiwanis Club of Victoria would like to extend their sincere thanks to those who donated items to our raffle.
